Communication of the Ants

 



Then, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant said: "Ants! Enter your dwellings, so that Sulayman and his troops do not crush you unwittingly." (Qur'an, 27: 18) 


The above verse tells us that ants have a way of communication. Modern day research proves that in fact ants do have a source of communication through a few ways. It is obvious that to understand the communication of ants would require a profound knowledge of chemistry. After all, the size of a single ant is so small, yet studies have shown that within the ants' 2-3 mm bodies, around 500 000 nerve cells are squeezed in! An ant communicates by releasing chemicals that alert all the nearby ants. The newly alerted ants will spread the news and the direction in which help should be sent. The fact that the Quran has mentioned the exchanging of information between ants more than 1400 years ago is truly a miracle and a proof the the Quran is the word of Allah .
