No death due to polio drops, doctors ask people not to pay heed to rumours

Doctors said that no child has died due to pulse polio drops that are being administered to children in Jammu and Kashmir today.

 Top medicos on Sunday dismissed as rumours the reports suggesting that there have been deaths of children in Pulwama due to Pulse polio drops.

CMO Pulwama Dr Fayaz Ahmad said that no child has died due to polio drops.

He asked people not to pay heed to rumours.

Similarly, CMO Budgam Dr GM Dar said that people shouldn't pay heed to such baseless rumours.

Earlier, parents rushed their young kids to hospitals in Pulwama after rumours that children have died after being administered pulse polio drops in Ludow area of Pampore, started doing the rounds.
